A survey carried out in Dénia has revealed that 76 per cent of the residents are in favour of desalination plants. After questioning 500 people the survey found that only 22 per cent of them were against the use of this type of technology. The study, which was carried out by water provider Acuamed, appears to show that despite the number of people who were against desalination plants the overall majority of the town see them as the only way to improve and guarantee drinking water supplies.
