Javea seems to be becoming a town of supermarkets and just when we think we have enough another one is being built. Yes that strange construction that looks like an aircraft hanger near El Rancho restaurant, is going to be a supermarket.  It belongs to the Aldi chain which is related to the same family as Lidl.  As of yet we do not have an opening date, but looking at the stage of construction it could be late September. 

Lets hope that unlike many of the supermarkets in the area they will maybe have more flexible hours like Carrefour who now open 9am to midnight and on Sundays too in Finestrat !This would allow the working shopper a chance to collect their groceries at a more leisurely pace rather than racing the manager to the door before it is locked or melting everything during a lunch break!!
