Javea Town Hall Embraces the 21st Century

Javea town hall has promised that very soon the use of wireless internet will be make contact with the town hall much easier for residents and tourists alike. The system of 40 to 60 megas will allow for the connection of up to 100 people at a time. In order to make the service more efficient there will be restrictions as to file downloading.

The first system is being installed in the centre of town by the Plaza de Iglesia, the main headquarters of the town hall, and further points will be installed in the Port and Arenal areas.

Although the public will benefit, the system is being installed to make communication between town hall departments easier and cheaper. The central number for the town hall is 965 790 500 and from this number you may be connected with any department and even direct to councillors through their mobiles. This in itself will save around 24,000 euros a year whcih will be better used on alternative projects.
