Javea town’s main square will not have its traditional Christmas display this year due to the traffic chaos in Javea Old Town. Javeas councilor of trade, Jose Chulvi, said that the serious traffic problems in the town had made it impractical for them to have the normal Bethlehem display this Christmas. The councilor said that there were already enough streets closed without closing anymore. However, the Historical Center will not remain without any decorations. The newly created association of Belenistas of Javea will install two Christmas cribs in the town, one in one of the shops in the Municipal and the other in the Market in the Museum. Further to this, councilor Chulvi said that the merchants association of the Historical Hull would be producing an imaginative calendar of activities to encourage people to visit the town over the Christmas period.
