The Cruz Roja has issued a warning to all in the light of the soaring temperatures on the Costas. Many are heading to the swimming pools and beaches. They requested that all swimmers respect the flag markings on the beaches- green – you can swim, yellow - swim with caution and red - do not enter the water! In addition they have asked that high factor sun creams be used at high point of the day or better still stay in the shade. They ask that you do not enter the water too soon after a meal and do not let young children or the elderly swim alone. Please also be vigilant with children in pools as we often forget how long they have been playing and can come into difficulties due to fatigue. They suggest that they rest out of the pool as often as possible.
