Busy Morning for Rugby Loving Youngsters in Denia

On Saturday Denia Rugby Club hosted a tournament for the Categories Alevines (Under 13s), Benjamines (Under 11s) and Pre-Benjamines (Under 9s). These tournaments are held on a monthly basis and are jointly organised by the Valencia Federation of Rugby Schools and the host Club. Denia Rugby Club were joined by teams from CAU, Tecnidex, Abelles and Tatami, all from Valencia, and Cullera, Tavernes and La Vila.

Over 200 players participated for over three hours on a lovely December morning. Results are too many to list, but every team in every category played to the best of their ability and entertained the large crowd. Many thanks to all the coaches, helpers, parents and referees that helped make it a very successful day for Denia Rugby Club and Rugby in Spain. Denia Rugby Club are keen to recruit more players in all of these categories and training is on tuesdays and fridays at 6.30pm at the Main Denia Sports Stadium opposite the Football Stadium. So why not come along and get involved ! All these categories will attend the Annual National Championships of Spain in Valladolid in May.
